Welcome to the Juniata College Institutional Review Board site. The purpose of this training course is two-fold. First, it is our hope that this course will inform you about the issues regarding the ethical conduct of research involving human participants and some of the policies specific to Juniata. Second, some form of investigator training is required according by the federal regulations. Completion of this course will serve as that training. To your left is a link to the course assignments. Please work your way through each of them, in order. When you have completed the course, you will be fully certified to conduct research with human participants on the Juniata campus.

We anticipate that the course will require about 2 to 2 and a half hours to complete.

Additional materials, such as the full text of the Belmont report the federal regulations, can be found under the course documents menu. The protocol application can also be found in the course documents menu.

If you have any questions, please email the chair of the IRB, located in the staff information menu. Thanks and enjoy, The IRB
