This course provides an in-depth exploration of the fundamental concepts and modern techniques in biochemistry, with an emphasis on understanding how structure dictates function in biomolecules. We will focus on the structure-function relationships of biomolecules and essential biochemical concepts. Through a combination of theoretical background, practical applications, and analysis of primary literature, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how biochemical principles are used to investigate and solve biological questions. Presentations and primary literature assignments will enhance students' presentation skills and scientific reading abilities, crucial for success in biochemistry-related careers.
