
Entertainment Industry Strategy will introduce you to the logic of media programming, providing an understanding of content development, ratings and audience metrics, television scheduling, syndication and licensing, and media distribution. Throughout the semester we will explore the nuances between programming for broadcast, cable, and streaming services. You will gain industry-specific knowledge of media business practices, develop and pitch media content ideas, negotiate a syndication licensing deal, and consult/innovate new programming strategies for the evolving media landscape. Prereq: CM-133.
