This course undertakes an in-depth examination of International Organized Crime including the mafia and Mexican drug cartels. In the process, it introduces students to the field of International Security Studies. Globalization and technology have created the conditions for criminals and terrorists to traffic illegal goods and services, which has direct implications for how international relations unfolds on a daily basis. This course will be taught by the Fulbright Mexico Studies Chair.
