Cross-Cultural Art 2

This course is an introductory survey of art that examines art from around the world produced between the 14th century and the present. We will consider a variety of perspectives for understanding cultural encounters in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world as we examine the impact of cultural exchange on the development of art. By establishing a foundation in the study of art history and learning to understand the historical and global context of various art movements, students will learn to recognize, describe, and analyze works of art from around the world.
