General Physics I: Physics is an integral part of our everyday experiences and foundational to other fields in science. Whether doing simple tasks such as opening a door, loosening a bolt, playing sports to observing the beginning of our universe or understanding the origins of matter, we rely on the principles in physics. The laws of physics are essential in the design and construction of items we use daily such as buildings, bridges and motors. Our appliances, such as microwaves, cars and cell phones, were developed by applying physics principles. Medical devices such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), x-rays, ultrasounds, Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans or even just glasses were developed from physics laws. We even need to understand the laws of physics to fully comprehend how different biological systems and organs such as the heart or eye work. Therefore, studying and mastering the principles in physics is like discovering the key to a huge treasure chest. It enables you to explain so much more about our world!
